He is the Potter I am the clay

Before there was time there was the Potter. He had a lump of clay that was to become a beautiful vessel. He waited and waited until the time was right for this lump to be formed by Him into what He knew would be a vessel for His use. Genesis 1:1, In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. Job 10:9 Remember that You have made me like clay; and will You return me to the dust? Job 33:6 Behold, I am toward God as you are; I too was pinched off from a piece of clay.
When the vessel was complete He let it be put to use. But by and by the vessel started noticing how it was shaped. The handle wasn't positioned correctly and it wasn't shaped right. Then there was the spout; to small to be of much use and its over all shape was much too big to look nice on anyone's table. Isaiah. 29:16 You turn things upside down! Shall the potter be regarded as the clay, that the thing made should say of its maker, "He did not make me", or the thing formed say of him who formed it, "He has no understanding"? Isa. 45:9 Woe to him who strives with Him who formed Him, a pot among earthen pots! Does the clay say to Him who forms it, What are you making?' or Your work has no handles'?
One day the vessel was knocked off the table where it had sat for all to see. Now it was broken into a hundred pieces. No use to anyone now, let alone to itself. "Oh Potter, Potter help me please," cried the vessel. The Potter very gently reached down and picked up each piece and started to put them together again. He used His love, grace and patience to glue each part to a perfect fit. He showed how all His plans are perfect and the vessels He makes have a perfect part in all His plans. Isaiah 30:14 and its breaking is like that of a potter's vessel that is smashed so ruthlessly that among its fragments not a shard is found with which to take fire from the hearth, or to dip up water out of the cistern." Ephesians 1:17-18 the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him, 18 having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope to which He has called you, what are the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints.
When completed the vessel looked beautiful again, not so much on the outside but inside, here it would hold the precious fluid that the Potter would put into it. The vessel was ready to be used for the Potter and now it understood, even if cracked, why it was formed it was to be the Potter's special vessel. Isaiah 64:8 But now, O LORD, You are our Father; we are the clay, and You are our potter; we are all the work of Your hand. Ephesians 2:8-10 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
